DOMAIN OF KWABEEK
The mill house is located in the domain of Kwabeek, a unique public castle domain in which all elements of the former community can still be found. The castle that now serves as Boutersem's town hall, the ponds, the farm, the mill, the stud farm, the ice cellar, de gardeners house, the forester's house (now brasserie), the standard orchard, the herb garden, the forest , hayfield and park with indigenous and exotic trees, and the baking oven where fresh bread is baked every 2nd Monday of the month by the local kring 'het Velpeleven'.
The mill house
The recently renovated mill house used to be the home of the miller and is located between the Velpe stream with_a soothing waterfall and an alder forest.
